erfolgreich anders

Spieler richtig erziehen

Authoritarian coaches are demanding but not responsive. They impose rules and expect obedience, tending to give orders (―Pass the ball!‖) and enforcing their commands with rewards and punishment, without providing any explanation of where the rules came from, except ―Because I said so!‖ Permissive coaches, on the other hand, tend to make few demands and give little punishment, but they are responsive in the sense that they generally allow their players to make their own rules. Authoritative coaches are demanding (―You must be home by curfew‖), but they are also responsive to the needs and opinions of the player (―Let‘s discuss what an appropriate curfew might be‖). They set rules and enforce them, but they also explain and discuss the reasons behind the rules. Rejecting-neglecting coaches are undemanding and unresponsive overall. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/proxy/AVvXsEhymS0-h5VbJAcByZsfHYCQ8gqnGBOx9JO4pU6yvJ__YhLZVHnbsPqy71PLGvc9RPzzU88F_9D276a_upMpW8NbYfOnAxNsH...

Lobe das Verhalten, nicht die Person!

These findings are especially important in education and how we, as a culture, assess intelligence. In another study of hundreds of students, mostly adolescents, Dweck and her colleagues gave each ten fairly challenging problems from a nonverbal IQ test, then praised the student for his or her performance — most had done pretty well. But they offered two types of praise: Some students were told “Wow, you got [X many] right. That’s a really good score. You must be smart at this,” while others, “Wow, you got [X many] right. That’s a really good score. You must have worked really hard.” In other words, some were praised for ability and others for effort. The findings, at this point, are unsurprising yet jarring: "The ability praise pushed students right into the fixed mindset, and they showed all the signs of it, too: When we gave them a choice, they rejected a challenging new task that they could learn from. They didn’t want to do anything that could expose their flaws and call...

The results also indicate  that a person’s achievement motive requires situational incentives, such as the chance to excel, associated with feelings of competence to predict flow and well-being. The person-situation interaction is one of the most prominent theoretical concepts of motivation psychology To conclude, we have learned at least three things from our data. First, that it is worth analyzing individual motive dispositions when analyzing the outcomes of basic need satisfaction. In doing so, a significant amount of further variance in optimal flow and well-being can be explained. Interventions such as changing environmental characteristics (e.g., specific task characteristics) in order to enable individuals to satisfy their basic needs could be tailored to the individuals’ motives. For example, creating situations in which the experience of competence is enhanced (e.g., through regular feedback), is less beneficial in terms of well-being for individuals with a...

Klitschkos Polit-Erleuchtung

setting situation emotionale konfiguration

There is a dominant conception of the human animal as a rational, or at least reasonable, preference-driven chooser, whose behavior reflects preferences, moderated by information processing and will, but little else. Laws, policies, and the most influential legal theories are premised on that same conception. Social psychology and related fields have discovered countless ways in which that conception is wrong. “The situation” refers to causally significant features around us and within us that we do not notice or believe are relevant in explaining human behavior. “Situationism” is an approach that is deliberately attentive to the situation. https://thesituationist.wordpress.com/

Peters was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He went to Severn School a private, preparatory high school, graduating in 1960. Peters then attended Cornell University, receiving a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1964, and a master's degree in 1966. He return to academia in 1970 to study business at Stanford Business School receiving an M.B.A. followed by a PhD in Organization Behavior at the Stanford business school in 1977. The title of his dissertation was "Patterns of Winning and Losing: Effects on Approach and Avoidance by Friends and Enemies." Karl Weick credited Peters' dissertation with giving him the idea for his 1984 article: "Small wins: Redefining the scale of social problems." While at Stanford, Peters was influenced by Jim G. March, Herbert Simon (both at Stanford), and Karl Weick (at the University of Michigan). Later, he noted that he was influenced by Douglas McGregor and Einar Thorsrud. http://tompeters.com/

Siehe Otto Rehagel mit Griechenland. A basketball court was ninety-four feet long. But most of the time a team defended only about twenty-four feet of that, conceding the other seventy feet .... Why, then, did weak teams play in a way that made it easy for good teams to do the very things that made them so good? The piece would have us believe there are two kinds of defense: a full-court press, and one that lets the offense dribble up court and set up plays unimpeded. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2009/05/malcolm_gladwell_isnt_a_basket.html http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2009/05/11/how-david-beats-goliath http://www.cbsnews.com/news/malcolm-gladwell-60-minutes-2/ http://blogs.wsj.com/dailyfix/2009/05/13/the-count-questioning-gladwells-full-court-press-theory/

Situationistik
